About John Tyre

John Tyre is a Certified Specialist in Criminal Law by the State Bar of California. John is a life-long Southern California resident. Since 1982, John has dedicated himself to those accused and charged with crimes. After passing the Bar Exam on his first attempt, John opened an office in Covina, California. For the last 40 years, John has continued this practice. Over his career, John has been chosen to represent those charged with death penalty crimes by a special board of judges in Los Angeles County. Qualifying for this assignment requires years of work, continuing legal education and a vast amount of trial experience. In 2006, Mr. Tyre was selected to represent the worst serial killer in the history of Los Angeles City. (People v. Chester Turner).

In Johns spare time, he spends time training Guide Dogs, enjoying horseracing and golf, and spending time with his wife and daughter.

John has represented over 15,000 people in Superior Court. John has performed over 400 jury trials. Included in these trials are over 100 murder trials. John has also handed numerous murders in which the death penalty was sought by the prosecution.

About Sam Tyre

Sam Tyre is an experienced trial attorney practicing all areas of criminal law. He has represented clients charged with a great variety of crimes, including DUIs, domestic violence, drug sales, gang-related crimes, large-scale thefts and embezzlements, and murders. Mr. Tyre has earned numerous dismissals prior to cases even being filed (prosecution rejects) as well as dismissals after formal charges have been filed.

Mr. Tyre is an unrelenting advocate, and his top priority is getting the best result for his clients. He prides himself on personally handling every step of every case, and on doing his absolute best to pursue the most favorable outcome for each of his clients. He does not advertise and instead gains clients through the referrals of satisfied clients, as well as from other Judges and lawyers, including prosecutors and defense attorneys.
