The Deschutes River Alliance (DRA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and restoring the health of the Deschutes River in Central Oregon. Through research, advocacy, and education, DRA works to ensure that the river remains healthy for future generations. Our research focuses on water quality, fish populations, riparian vegetation, and other aspects of the river's ecology. We use a variety of methods to analyze data collected from our field studies, including statistical analysis, modeling techniques, and geographic information systems (GIS). In addition to our research efforts, we also work with local communities to raise awareness about the importance of protecting the Deschutes River. By engaging stakeholders in meaningful dialogue about how their actions can affect the health of the river, we hope to create a culture of stewardship that will help preserve this vital resource for years to come.
