Poetry Out Loud

Poetry Out Loud, organized by the Plumas County Arts Commission, is a program that encourages students to engage with great poetry through memorization and recitation. It helps students develop public speaking skills, boost self-confidence, and gain knowledge about literary history and contemporary life. The competition progresses from classroom to school-wide, district/county, and state levels, with the State Finals being held virtually. Poetry Out Loud offers students a transformative experience where they can explore the beauty of words and express themselves through poetry.
