Embark on a captivating journey through time with guided tours of the Dilue Rose Harris House, a place steeped in historical significance. Originally transformed into a museum in 1988-1989, the house now stands as a testament to the past, elegantly adorned with early Victorian walnut and Texas pine furnishings, a majority of which have deep-rooted connections to families from the Columbus vicinity. Among the remarkable displays, Dr. Pleasant Rose's distinguished walnut desk takes its place, exuding an air of scholarly significance. Notably, the walnut center table within the parlor carries the legacy of Dilue's own daughter, Laura Harris Hahn, underscoring the familial ties that bind this historical space. Both these cherished furniture pieces were generously contributed to the Dilue Rose Harris House Museum by Douglas Hahn, Dilue Rose Harris' grandson, weaving a tapestry of heritage and memory.
