Summer Bridge

Embark on a journey of academic enrichment with the YMCA Of Greater St. Petersburg, in collaboration with Pinellas County Schools. Designed to equip students for success in the upcoming school year, this program extends learning opportunities beyond the classroom.

Through the YMCA Before-and-Afterschool Program, students benefit from extended Summer Bridge hours and engaging activities focused on reading, mathematics, science, and outdoor education. Each week, participants delve into thematic explorations, featuring hands-on experiments and project-based learning experiences.

Space in the Summer Bridge program is limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Eligible students can access this program for FREE, thanks to the partnership between Pinellas County Schools, YMCA Of Greater St. Petersburg, and the Juvenile Welfare Board (JWB) of Pinellas County. To qualify for reduced rates, students must demonstrate eligibility by receiving reduced-cost or free lunch during the school year, as confirmed by the Pinellas County School Board. Financial assistance is also available for qualifying families, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive academically during the summer months
