Kids Can is not just an after-school program; it's a platform for upper elementary-aged children to realize their potential to make a meaningful difference in the world. Through two 6-week sessions held in the fall and spring, Kids Can foster a sense of empowerment and service among participants, guided by discussions centered on scripture passages that prompt critical thinking about faith and action. From exploring stories like David & Goliath to the creation narrative and the feeding of the 5000, children are encouraged to reflect on how they can use their gifts and talents to positively impact others and their communities.
In Kids Can, children engage in tangible acts of kindness and service, such as creating dog toys for local shelters or organizing food drives for the needy, embodying the belief that even small actions can have significant consequences. Led by a dedicated team, Kids Can is a space where thoughtful, creative, and kind children come together to effect positive change, irrespective of their religious background. If you believe your child could benefit from being part of this impactful program, we invite you to reach out to Kristin at firstlightanthem@gmail.com to learn more about how they can get involved.
