The English as a Second Language (ESL) program at Sutter County Adult Education is tailored for individuals aged 18 and older whose native language is not English. Our classes are designed to enhance language skills, integrating reading, writing, listening, speaking, and computer skills relevant to everyday life. We assist students in improving their English proficiency through engaging in group activities and lessons. Classes are available at various levels, ranging from beginning to advanced, ensuring that students receive instruction suitable for their skill level. New students undergo an initial reading assessment to determine the appropriate class level, enabling us to provide personalized instruction and support as they progress in their English language development.
