Vendor

Romulus offers various options for vendors interested in selling prepared foods at local markets:

  1. MI Cottage Food Law: Prepare non-potentially hazardous foods at home and sell them at the market, following proper labeling guidelines.
  2. Licensed Kitchen: Rent space in a licensed kitchen to prepare food for market sale; vendors must arrange their kitchen facilities.
  3. Health Department License: Obtain a temporary food license to cook and sell ready-to-eat food onsite at the market; requires an on-site inspection from the Wayne County Health Department.
  4. Food Trucks: Operate a food truck at the market, complying with local, county, and state permitting requirements, including pre-inspection approval from the Romulus Fire Department and proof of liability insurance.

Vendors must ensure compliance with all regulations outlined by the City of Romulus Downtown Development Authority to participate.
